I don’t always blog about Colleges Memes …

… but when I do, it’s better than doing my homework. 

Riding off the post Pinterest frenzy, it was only natural that a new online time waster would pop up soon, and this time it encompasses both male and female collegiates. Sweeping across campuses nationwide are Facebook groups of [School Name] Memes, where students post their own variation of stories or jokes that are specific to the college. With the ease of meme generators and popularity of memes (mee-mees? meh-mehs? meams?…I will never decide what I like best) from sites like reddit, memebase, and iraffiruse, students of all friend groups, years, and regions can hop on this bandwagon of procrastination.

Mashable listed BU, U of Texas, and Purdue as the top of their  20 Colleges Where Internet Memes are all the Rage ranking. Honestly, I don’t think Elon is doing half bad for a small school since the group has about 1,500 “likes” and consistent postings, comments, and likes. In comparison, I don’t know if 1,500 students attend the big Homecoming Football game each fall!
